Ectopic Paragonimiasis in Breast

Abstract
|

|
It is well known that paragonimus westermani causes ectopic parasitism in human hosts. Major clinical problems of ectopic paragonimiasis are related to the involved tissue or organ and the clinical manifestation are protean.
The authors experienced a case of ectopic paragonimiasis involving breast which was hard to differentiate from breast tumor clinically.
It was removed by excision and confirmed as paragonimus granuloma histologically.
